Evluma Employees Giving Back to their Communities with Sponsored Volunteer Days – Part 2

Evluma offers its employees the opportunity to dedicate 8 hours of volunteer service each year without any financial sacrifice. Moreover, employees are empowered to choose and support 501(c)(3) non-profit programs or organizations that resonate with their personal values.

In December, Ashley Belo and Lisa Tuaone, part of the customer service team at Evluma, volunteered at the Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) in Kent. Established in 1972, RASKC provides sustainable, cost effective services that protect people and animals

In 2023 alone, RASKC took in over 8,400 animals, provided 3,808 pets adoption, returned 791 pets to their owners, spayed or neutered 3,556 animals, and issued more than 90,000 pet licenses. Inspirational numbers! If you are in need of a pet license, visit RASKC’s Licensing page here. If you are interested in volunteering, you can discover the different responsibilities and teams of the volunteering program here. And of course, if you are interested in adopting a pet or just want to faun over all the animals at RASKC, click here.

Ashley and Lisa spent their time on the Dog Team, which is responsible for teaching good behaviors, improving quality of life with interaction and walks, and monitoring the health of the dogs sheltered at RASKC. They hope to volunteer at RASKC again in the future

“This adventure was the beginning and has opened up many more opportunities for us to continue volunteering with them.” – Lisa Tuaone

Another demonstration of the dedication Evluma employees have for their communities. Read about past volunteer days in part 1 of the series here!

Thank you, Ashley, Lisa, and the Regional Animal Services of King County.
