After 50 years of darkness due to vandalism, travelers across the Harstine Bridge, WA are aided by dark sky friendly streetlights. The safe passage on, off and across the bridge is appreciated by island visitors that sometimes must back track or loop the island if they miss an important turn the first time. This lighting project, executed by Mason PUD 3’s solutions-orientated team, features low-glare Evluma AreaMax 40W coastal fixtures with a full cutoff lens.  A full cutoff lens emits no light above 90 degrees reducing uplight that contributes to sky-glow and light pollution.
