Meet Evluma’s family of roadway cobrahead lights, RoadMax. This family of sleek, full-featured, utility-grade luminaires are designed to meet the needs of today’s utilities and today’s drivers. RoadMax is designed to replace HID cobraheads on multiple roadway types and across diverse applications. The RoadMax product line consist of the RX1 (small), the RX2 (medium) and the forthcoming RX3 (large).

The RX2 is the latest model released in the RoadMax roadway portfolio and is recommended to replace 150-400W HID Cobraheads. With lumen outputs ranging from 8,000 to 28,000 lumens, the versatile RX2 can cover a wide range of applications. Easily maintain your roadway lighting program's aesthetic continuity while stocking fewer SKUs.
Commanding Roadway Performance PLUS Effective Glare and Light Trespass Control
Recognizing that glare is a significant challenge in the roadway environment, RoadMax was designed to deliver industry-leading glare control without compromising performance. RoadMax’s revolutionary optical design makes nighttime roads more pleasant for drivers and residents. Evluma’s proprietary glass optics deliver crisp, precise, uniform, low-glare light. Add specially formulated acrylic secondary lenses to further reduce glare. Low-profile, easy-to-install light trespass shields lend even greater control.
The Science Behind Low-Glare
Disability glare (aka Blinding Glare) is glare that reduces visual performance and visibility. RoadMax RX2 offers optional secondary Glare Control lenses to further reduce glare. A light’s Veiling Luminance Ratio in a given environment indicates its ability to control Disability Glare. RoadMax provides superior roadway performance while meeting all RP-8-21 metrics for Uniformity and Veiling Luminance Ratio.
Controls & Photocontrol Failsafe
RoadMax RX2 has multiple options for controls including traditional 3-pin and 7-pin photocontrol sockets. However, options to combine socket configuration with Evluma’s proprietary photocontrol, Photocontrol Failsafe and ConnectLED are also available.
