Meet Evluma’s family of LED cobrahead lights, RoadMax.

This family of sleek, full-featured, utility-grade luminaires and designed to meet the demands of today’s utilities and today’s drivers. RoadMax is designed to replace HID cobraheads on multiple roadway types and across diverse applications. The RoadMax family spans 30-300W and consists of the RX1 (small), the RX2 (medium) and the RX3 (large).

RX3 Recommended Use: Replace 150-400W Cobraheads

With an output ranging 13,200-39,700 lumens across 120-300 watts, the RX3 is recommended to replace 150-400W HID cobraheads. Major roads with heavy traffic require lighting that meets the rigorous demands of use; busy streets necessitate more light. Yet as pole heights and wattages increase, the importance of minimizing wasted light and glare remains. Evluma’s low-glare optics command light precisely, uniformly and with superior cut-off.

The Science Behind Low-Glare

Disability glare (aka Blinding Glare) is glare that reduces visual performance and visibility. RoadMax RX3 offers optional secondary Glare Control lenses to further reduce glare. A light’s Veiling Luminance Ratio in a given environment indicates its ability to control Disability Glare. RoadMax provides superior roadway performance while meeting all RP-8-22 metrics for Uniformity and Veiling Luminance Ratio. Don’t simply direct glare away, eliminate both Glare and Glare complaints.

Controls & Photocontrol Failsafe

RoadMax has multiple options for controls including traditional 3-pin and 7-pin photocontrol sockets. 0-10V dimming supports Adaptive lighting and networked nodes. Options to combine socket configurations with Evluma’s integrated photocontrol, Photocontrol Failsafe and ConnectLED are also available.
